Bike lanes are almost always contingent on future development. There are no safe bike routes from North East FoCo to Old Town or the trails. Even local schools are left out.

Members of the local neighborhood HOA Boards, local developers, and community-minded neighbors are creating a Community Vision Group to explore, inform, and guide the future of North East Fort Collins, including:

The boundaries are, roughly: North College on the West, Douglas Road on the North, I-25 on the East, and Mulberry on the South.

What if we do nothing?

If things continue as they are, North East Fort Collins may never receive the attention it deserves. Development will occur without a cohesive vision and the patchwork allocation of services, amenities, and transportation options will continue to fester. Failing to take advantage of this unique chance to guide North East Fort Collins to a brighter future will rob our communities of the vibrancy, attention, and opportunities they deserve.


What Is The Goal?

To avoid patchwork development of infrastructure, amenities, and services in North East Fort Collins, the North East Fort Collins Vision Group proposes the creation of a cohesive vision in an Area Action Plan which addresses core issues that residents of North East Fort Collins experience on a regular basis. From there, we will work with the City and County on executing this cohesive vision.
